Carlos Santos Emidio Buchinho

Vénus de Pistoletto (with Emídio Buchinho, 2006-2011, audio). This musical project, developed from everyday objects and lo-fi technology, has its roots in Arte Povera, in a special hommage to Michelangelo Pistoletto. Besides the guitar and computer, the use of motorised or electronic tools, as well as objets trouvés (leaves, twigs, paper, etc.), is essential for creating the sounds that make up Pistoletto’s Venus. A combination of installation and performance, where small mechanisms embody an almost “factory-like” activity, enveloping the spectator in sound.Emidio Buchinho: amplifiers, cassetes, mics and found objec
